Every inflatable looks the same in a photograph. Four things separate one that lasts a decade from one that lasts a season.
1. The material
For helium products, polyurethane against PVC. PVC is heavier for its strength, so it needs more gas to lift, and it stiffens, keeps folding creases and goes brittle in ultraviolet light.
For cold-air products the fabric and coating matter in the same way. Ask what it is. A supplier who will not say is selling the cheap one.
2. The seams
Seams are where an inflatable fails if it is going to. Welded seams age with the material; glued ones age differently and separate.
This is a fair question to ask any supplier and the answer tells you whether you are talking to a manufacturer or a reseller.
3. How the artwork is applied
Printed onto the panels during manufacture, or applied afterwards as a wrap or decal?
Anything applied afterwards lifts at the edges eventually, and detailed artwork has a lot of edges. Ours is printed during the build, which is why lettering is quoted from artwork approval rather than added as an afterthought.
4. What the warranty excludes
Ask about exclusions, not coverage. It is far more revealing.
Ours: wears out, send it back, we replace it. Weather loss is **not** covered. No manufacturer covers weather loss, so one who does not volunteer that either has not thought about it or intends to argue later.
An enthusiastic open-ended warranty is a warning sign, not a benefit.
